MedSort can sort up to 240 medicines per hour.

Capacity depends on the medicine’s form factor. For solid unit doses, MedSort can process up to 2,000 medicines in a single sorting cycle.

The number of compartments in MedSort’s sorted bins is reconfigurable. MedSort can sort into up to 80–100 distinct categories in a single cycle. If the unsorted pile includes more categories than available compartments, the extras are placed into an overflow bin and can be sorted in the next cycle.

MedSort doesn’t rely solely on barcodes. Using proprietary vision models, it reads printed text directly from each medicine to extract details such as the expiration date and accurately remove expired items.

The sorting logic is fully customizable. In most deployments, it’s aligned with automated dispensing systems such as Carousel, BoxPicker, or PillPick, so items are organized to reduce restocking time.
